Who is behind Singa
How it started
The idea for Singa Games sparked in 2015 in sunny Singapore, where we lived for a few months. Ian was just 3 years old at the time, and our family time mostly meant playing with toys or games that were fun… but only for Ian! Then one day, a friend brought over a card game that we all got hooked on. Ian loved it, and we had a blast playing it too. Suddenly, game nights were all about that game—screens? Forgotten! Our house? Filled with laughter and excitement!
From that moment on, we were on a mission to find more games that sparked the same joy, but it wasn’t easy. After globe-trotting, living in different places, and trying every game we could get our hands on, we decided to create our own games to fill the gap.
Our rule? Simple: Make games fun for everyone, no matter their age! And as a bonus, each game should help you think, build social skills, and—most importantly—be totally awesome!
Why do we make our games
We believe games have the magical power to transform lives! When we play, we’re not just moving pieces around—we’re connecting with people, sharing laughs, and creating moments that bring us closer together. And the best part? Games can help kids develop some seriously tremendous skills!
Trust us, we know! We’ve been playing games with our kids since they were 2 years old, and it’s incredible what a difference it’s made. Games have helped them think faster, focus better, follow the rules, think strategically, and develop social skills!
Honestly, it’s wild how they’d rather play games with us than spend hours on iPads, video games, or mobiles. We’ve also noticed that they handle daily frustrations way better! Games have taught them that winning and losing are all part of the fun. They’ve become more resilient—a life skill they’ll carry forever!

As the proud dad of two little gaming dynamos and a tabletop game lover, he’s driven by a passion for building a company that reflects his core values: creating happier families, helping kids thrive, spreading joy, and, of course, having a blast while doing it!
He sums it up perfectly: “The ideal job for me is one that’s fun and meaningful. It’s a dream come true to develop something that’s not only enjoyable but also aligned with my passion for family connections!”
This diverse team—a mix of an entrepreneur, banker, lawyer, psychologist, engineer, communicator, and designer—embodies the essence of collaboration and creativity. “There’s nothing better than spending nights laughing and playing with the ones we love. That’s what makes me want to create new games every day.”
It took him another MSc, this time in Strategy and Leadership at London Business School, to get to know these amazing, somehow crazy people who took board and card games so seriously that they even founded a company to create their own stuff.
Then, taking part on the team was easy. As our go-to “do-it-all” person, he juggles a variety of tasks, but his main mission? To spread the joy of Singa Games around the globe! He’s our Channel Champion!
“After all, having my family and friends together around a table, having fun while learning new tricks is just pure joy, especially when you know you helped bringing those games to life”.
